About Cassandra Jade's

Cassandra Jade da Costa, that's me, started Cassandra Jade's Collective (then Cassandra Jade's Beauty Bar) in 2021 from a granny flat in my parent's home. When I left high school in 2019, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I have always been interested in the beauty and art industry whether it be learning how to do my makeup, how to look after my skin, watching new nail art tutorials, or drawing in my sketchbook, I was always a fanatic. Somehow, when I had to make the career path decision, these options never came to mind. I have danced and done drama since I was 2,5 years old. And so, when I left school - I went into teaching drama and dance classes. However, in 2020, our lives were struck with sudden change and this encouraged me to dive deeper into what I truly wanted and loved to do. I started doing basic beauty courses (like aromatherapy and bach remedies) online thinking I could make use of them somewhere along the line. After we were able to go back to our normal lives, I still taught drama and dance classes until January 2021; when my mom encouraged me to take an eyelash extensions course because "You would be so good at it! It's precise and you're a perfectionist". So, I booked and went in for my course. After the first day, I fell in LOVE with the beauty industry and all the anatomy and perfectionism behind it. I started taking my lash case studies and my true passion came through; I love making women feel beautiful! Since then, I have added up to 15 different treatments and I am continuously completing new courses and adding new treatments to my treatment menu; I like to keep things exciting and make sure I have at least 1 treatment for everyone. In February 2022, I moved out of the granny flat that my business once called home and into a small room in Nelson Mandela Avenue. However, after being there for only 4 months, I'd outgrown the space and started looking for bigger premises. This is when I found my beautiful spot in Jackson Street, Brackenhurst. My business was there for 2,5 years and now I found a new bigger premises for Cassandra Jade's Collective to call home in Holzgen Street, Brackenhurst. I absolutely adore my space and I can guarantee that you'll love it too! I continuously change up the decor and add something new to the space and make sure there's always something to catch your eye.

My new goal as of 2026, is to add specialists in all the various treatments that Cassandra Jade's Collective has to offer. This will grow the Collective part of the name and help us to be able to reach more women, and make them all feel beautiful at the same place simultaneously instead of only reaching 1 person at a time.
